De-Watering Machine Parts And Their Functions

De-Watering machine plays an important role in finishing section of the knit fabrics. De-watering machine is used for reducing remaining water of the wet fabric. It reduces the water content of the fabric.

De-Watering Machine Parts and Their Functions: De-watering machine has different parts and every single part has specific functions. Followings are de-watering machine parts name with their functions.

  1. Spreader: When fabric is dye in a dyeing machine it found in rope form. After dyeing, when dyed fabric is put in basket it also remains in rope position. By spreader we can open fabric from the rope position. It can be spread and compressed in width direction by its hydraulic cylinder.

  2. Hand Wheel: It is a manual process. It is used for guide the spreader.

  3. Turn Tube: Fabric rotation is controlled by turn tube. It also helps in fabric feeding to the spreader.

  4. Squeezing Roller: It is the main part of the de-watering machine. Water of the wet fabric is squeezed by the squeezing roller.

  5. Guide Wheel: Guide wheel helps to feed the fabric into the squeezing roller.

  6. Security Shield: Security shield is an emergency switch settled with a plastic board very near to the padder. When it is close to the padder it is on and when it is pulled back then it is off. In case a big knot is going to pass the padder then it immediately pulls back the board to stop the machine. It is an automatic system to ensure the security of the padder. It helps to avoid any types of incidence.

  7. Air Injection Switch: It pushes air into fabric to turn it to ballooning form. It helps to turn the rope form fabric into open form.

  8. Photocell: Photocell is an auto sensor which control air injection.

During de-watering process, softener is applying to the knit fabric. Also, various types of chemicals can be applied on the fabric by this de-watering machine. It is important to maintain uniform tension during operation otherwise GSM of the can be vary in different parts of the fabric.

I think it is important to know about the different parts of a de-watering machine. It also helps a textile engineer to be clear about a de-watering machine and its purpose of use.

De-Watering Machine | Objectives And Operational Parameter Of De-Watering Machine

In knit fabric finishing process; de-watering machine is used after passing the hydro-extractor machine. After hydro-extracting of the fabric, remaining water is removed by the de-watering process. During de-watering process additional chemical is used for soften the fabric. Different types of operational parameter are controlled during de-watering process.

Objectives of De-Watering Machine: Various types of objectives are achieved by the de-watering process. Followings are the main objectives of the de-watering machine.

  1. Excess or remaining water is removed or reduce by the de-watering machine.

  2. In most of the cases, softener is applying during de-watering process.

  3. Apply overfeed to give some compactor.

  4. Fabric is open from the rope form.

  5. Width-wise stretch of the fabric is done.

  6. Fabric is turn into plait form by this process.

  7. GSM of the fabric is controlled during de-watering.

  8. To control the crease mark of the fabric.

Operational Parameter of De-Watering Machine: Following parameter is controlled during de-watering.

Pattern Construction By CAD or Digitized System | Principles of Pattern Making

In garments making; different types of modern equipments are added for ensure the quality of the products. Day by day; man wants to design their pattern by the modern system. For this man introduced CAD and Digitizing system for making the pattern design. This system also decrease the rate of defects of garments.

Design can be created by two ways:

  1. Directly by CAD

  2. By Digitizing System

Computer Aided design (CAD): Computer Aided Design (CAD) is the most used system for design. CAD involve with following tools:

  • Special software: Different types of CAD software manufacturing companies develop different types of software. Following software are the most common.

  1. LECTRA System by France

  2. Tuka by Japan

  3. Investronica by Spain

  4. Garver Garment Technology by USA

  • Install

  • Free hand design

Principles of CAD: The principles of Computer Aided Design (CAD) are given bellow:

  • The pattern maker manipulates small graphic patterns on the computer screen with a “hand held control device”.

  • Geometry drivers can make an infinite number of changes to the shapes and size of the pattern.

  • Then creating new design lines or adding “PLEATS” and seam allowances.

Principles of Digitizing System: Digitizing system runs as the following way.

  • At first the basic pattern (M-size) must be digitized.

  • A sensitized table with a mouse is attached to the computer.

  • The mouse picks-up the lines of patterns on the table.

  • Displayed or shows them on the screen and modified it at any time.

  • Thus, the whole shape can be adjusted.

So, it is important to know the operating system of CAD or Digitized system. Fabric cutting also operates by this. It is inform you that I have written another blog about CCMS which is important for color matching. If anyone can operate this system properly I am sure he/she will be in demand. So, choose your favorite one for your purpose.

Functions Of Computer Color Matching System | Advanced CCMS

I have written about working principle of computer color matching system in one of my blog. Now I like to write about the functions of computer color matching system (CCMS). All of we know that; CCMS is the system by which we can predict the shade of a sample by which we can run bulk production. Although it is a computerized system but its accuracy is fine.

Functions of CCMS: There are lots of task which could be done by computer color matching system. I like to mention most of the functions of CCMS in below:

  • Prediction of color match: The main function of CCMS is to predict the color of a sample. In lab dip section it is necessary to match the shade of the sample. CCMS makes it easy to match the shade quickly. It also makes easy the work of a textile engineer who is responsible for it.

  • Color difference calculation: We know that; when a sample is put in sample holder of a spectophotometer it analyzes the color of the sample. It also calculates the color difference of the sample and dyed sample which is dyed according to the recipe of the CCMS.

  • Metamarism: CCMS also show the metamarism of the sample color.

  • Pass and Fail option: The sample which is dyed according to the recipe of the CCMS is it matches with the buyers sample that could be calculate by this system. If the dyed sample fulfill the requirements then CCMS gives pass decision and if can’t then it gives fail decision. So, pass-fail can be decided by CCMS.

  • Color fastness rating: Color fastness can be calculates by CCMS. There is different color fastness rating (1-5/1-8). CCMS analyze the color fastness and gives result.

  • Shade library: Computer color matching system also store the recipe of the dyeing for specific shade. This shade library helps to find out the different documents against that shade. It is done both for the shade of sample and bulk dyed sample.

  • Cost comparison: Cost of the produced sample can be compare with others. It also helps to choose the right dyes for dyeing.

  • Dyes strength evaluation: It is important to evaluate the strength of the dyes which will be used for production. All of the dyes have not same strength. Dyes strength effects the concentration of dyes which will be used for dyeing.

  • Whiteness Indices: Whiteness Indices also maintained in CCMS.

  • Reflectance curve: Reflectance curve also formed for specific shade by which we can determine the reflection capability of that shade.

  • Color strength: Computer color matching system also determine the color strength of the sample.

So, there are lots of objectives of computer color matching system. If you want, you can try to get the benefits of CCMS.

Working Mechanism of AHIBA NUANCE Sample Machine | Sample Dyeing In Lab

In dyeing lab; sample is developed for matching the shade with the standard swatch or pantone number which is given by the buyer. After produce a dyeing recipe samples are dyed in a sample dyeing machine. In modern time AHIBA NUANCE sample dyeing machine is popular to the textile engineer for sample dyeing. It has different characteristics which are help full for sample production.

There are different types of sample dyeing machine which is used for sample dyeing. Among all of them AHIBA NUANCE sample machine is different. A sample introduction of this machine could be as follow:

Brand Name                : Ahiba Nuance ECO-B

Manufacturer              : SHM.P.R.C

Origin                        : USA

Rating                        : 220 V, 50/60 Hz

Power                        : 3850 W

Temperature               : 1400 C (Maximum)

Capacity                    : 20 Tubes

Designed and developed by data color

Working procedure of an AHIBA NUANCE sample dyeing machine: Before execute a machine one should have general knowledge about the procedure by which a machine is run. In practical; I have seen that, this machine is best for yarn dyeing lab also used for knit dyeing lab. Anyhow, this machine works as follow:

Each machine contains 20 tubes, 19 tubes is used for dyeing sample and one for sensor. Sensor tube is full of water which quantity is same as others tube water quantity. Sensor determines the temperature of the chamber. There are three coils which give heat to the tube. Dyeing is occurs for this heat. Whole tube carrier rotates clockwise moment for 1 minute and anticlockwise moment for 1 minute. For this reason heat applies through the tube uniformly and shaking occurs also uniformly which is required for better dyeing. The machine works automatically. There are 8 programs which are set for different program Parameter of the program can be changed according to the requirement.

After that, another sample machine is used for sample dyeing. The brand name of this machine is ROACHES which is manufactured by ADVANCED DYEING SOLUTIONS LTD. Origin country of this machine is UK. This machine contains 16 tubes and maximum temperature could be 1400 C (Maximum).

Both of this machine’s working procedure is very near similar but controlling system is different from one to another. Price of both machine also differ from one to another. Both sample machines is suitable for yarn dyeing lab for sample dyeing.

So, we can use both of sample dyeing machines for produce desired shade which is needed for bulk production.

Dyeing Machineries | Machineries Used For Different Dyeing Process

We know that; dyeing is a process of coloring textile materials to give a nice outlook of grey textile materials. By the reaction between dye solution and textile materials it becomes colorful. Dyeing is done in a dye bath where dye solution is made. Different types of material are dyed in different dye bath. Dyeing process varies depending on materials type.

In ancient times dyeing was done in an open bath but day by day this process is improving by the research of scientist. Now dyeing is done more efficiently than ancient times. Now man can do as he will. Different types of modern equipment are used to dye the materials. Depending on materials type following machineries is used:

  • Fibre dyeing Machine: These types of machineries are used to dye fibre. Natural and man-made/synthetic materials can be dyed by these machineries. Generally fibre dyeing is done less than yarn or fabric dyeing. But dyeing action is more effective than yarn or fabric dyeing. Here fibre molecules are well dyed.

  • Yarn dyeing machine:  Yarn dyeing is another dyeing process. Generally yarn dyeing is done for special purpose; like to make designed textile materials. Three types of processing machineries are available for yarn dyeing. They are:

  1. Hank dyeing machine: This machine use to dye yarn in hank form. Sewing thread is dyed by this process.

  2. Package dyeing machine: This dyeing machine use to dye the yarn in package form.

  3. Beam dyeing machine: Here yarn is dyed in beam form.

  • Fabric dyeing machine: Fabric dyeing is the most important sector in dyeing area. Different types of fabric are dyed by these machineries. Fabrics may be woven, non-woven or knitted. However following machineries is used for fabric dyeing:

  1. Jigger dyeing machine: This machine use to dye woven fabric.

  2. Winch dyeing machine: In this machine both woven and knitted fabrics are dyed. Specially knit dyeing is done by this machine.

  3. Jet dyeing machine: Knitted and woven fabric can be dyed by this machine.

  • Garments dyeing machine: Garments dyeing machine is used to give special effect on apparels.

Dyeing machine bears an important factor in dyeing. If the dyeing machine has not enough properties of carrying dyeing process than it can be harmful. So, before selecting a dyeing machine following points should be in mind:

  • The dyeing machine should provide sufficient movement of the liquor to penetrate uniformly into every parts of the textle materials.

  • The machine must be constructed of a material which will withstand prolong boiling with acid or alkali.

  • There must have some facility of adding concentrated dye solution in such a way that it becomes well distributed before it comes into contact with textile materials.

  • The heating arrangement must be such that a comparatively uniform temperature will be maintained throughout the liquor.

  • All moving parts and electric motors should be protected against the corrosive action of steam and acidic atmospheric condition.

  • The machine should have possible outlet and water inlet valves.
