Definitions of Technical Textile
The textiles which are used for the special purposes such as medical textiles, geo-textiles and water proof breathable fabric are called Technical Textile.Types of Technical Textile:
There are 8 types of Technical Textile are available in the market; these are –1. Medical Textile
2. Defense Textile
3. Fire Fighters Suit.
4. Transportation Textile.
5. Textile in Civil Engineering Department (Geo-textile).
6. Filtration Textiles.
7. Waterproof Breathable Fabric.
8. Bio-logical and Chemical Protective Clothing.
Now I will try to give a short definition of the types of Technical textiles I have mentioned above: -
Medical Textile: The technical textile which are used in the field of medical and surgery are called Medical Textiles. For example: Bandage.
Defense Textile: The technical textile which are used in the field of defense are called defense textile. Example: Military Shoe & Uniform.
Fire Fighter’s Suit: The technical textile which are used in field of fire fighters are called fire fighters textile. Example: Flame Proof Fabric.
Transportation Textile: the technical textile which are used in the field of “Transportation” are called transportation textile. Example: Seat Covering.
Textile in Civil Engineering Department (Geo-Textile): the technical textile which are used in the field of textile in civil engineering department/geo textile are called textile in civil engineering department. Example: Coir Fabric.
Filtration Textile: The technical textile which are used in the field of filtration are called filtration textile. Example: Link Fabrics.
